We harvested the squashes from the allotment this week, they didn't do as well as last year but we will have one pumpkin to carve come the 31st of Oct! I want to make a pumpkin outfit to dress stan up in, I think he'd make a good pumpkin!

Prints!

Here are the prints I did the other night with my gocco printer!!! ( I hope they load up I have tried a couple of times today and .....nowt! we shall see!! ) I am so pleased with the printer and indeed the prints! They came out so much better than I thought and seeing as I made the master thingie too big ( yep I read the instructions after I had done it whoopps!! ) all went well!!
They are tags for my stuff, well in theory that is, I just wanted to draw some badgers, a couple of them look crafty but I think the one on the bottom right just looks a bit evil, hey ho, I was so desperate to use the printer.
Apart from these I must admit craftiness has been abit on a lull, mind you I have started a father christmas thing ( not sure what it is yet! ) but I didn't have any white embroidery thread so his beard is a yellow and looks a little odd, hey ho it's good to not follow the trends!!
Oh wow and thanks, I have a couple of people to swap with and horrahh!!! I was a little worried that no-one would be up for a swap but yippeedoo I shall soon be a swapping and horrah!!

Does anyone want to play swap shop?

I have, lets just say, a few items left over from the fair the other weekend!?!?! and always love seeing what people have swapped on other blogs. So I was wondering if anyone would like to swap with me? This is the bag, it's lined with yummy yellow gingham, it's not very big, 28cm by 24cm

Errrm my email should be up on the my profile bit of the page, so if ya fancy a swap please do get in touch and let me know what you want to swap, I shall throw in some other bits and pieces too! Oh how exciting, ( or could be really embarrasing if no-one wants too I supose, we shall see ?!?!).

Oh I did some gocco printing last night and oh flip, it's such a brilliant thing!! So simple and great fun!! ( photos to come tomorrow, camera trouble.... again!! ) I have a feeling Christmas may well be very gocco'ed!

Since the craft frenzy of the last couple of weeks I have been abit on the slack side if I'm honest! Though i have done some drawings for little labels to put on my bags and stuff, I'm hopefully going to gocco them!!! I got all the bits out and have looked at the tutorial on cdrom ( quite funny ) Just need a clear evening and there will be no stopping me! I just tried to scan in what I have done, but the scanners gone crackers, so no! So hopefully I shall have something to show ya soon. Also I have one of my mums childrens stories and I'm going to do some illustrations for it, ooh very exciting, as soon as i have anything I'll let you see as all the comments I get on here are really encouraging and very very helpful, thanks!!

The weekend at Wirksworth

Well the weekend at the craft do dah was brill!! It was in a small town in Derbyshire called Wirksworth It's an amazing festival of arts etc! It goes on for a few weeks but we just went up for the trail and it's really cool as loads of people in the town open up their houses and artists exhibit their work in these peoples front rooms!!! It's fairly bonkers really and totally cool!!
Here's what I took, just before leaving the house I thought, ahh must take a piccie!!
We were in a lady called Janets house and she was really lovely and here's what it all looked like when it was displayed! our own wee shop!! I haven't done anything like this before and was soo excited! So excited I blocked alex out of the photo ( sozza alex! ) There was also a lady called Lousie in the dining room with her lovely handmade cards! We managed to have a walk about the town on the sunday ( it was a whole weeked thang!) Some amazing art about, brilliant views and some really gorgeous houses!! It takes a bit of getting used to, walking into strangers houses but it's so fab!
Some artists had displays in shop windows, this dog was amazing!

and this hanging man!!

All in all a great time was had by all!! roll on next year!! I am so gagging to do another craft fair it was fab! and horrah to that! ( i am still excited can you tell, even more of these !! than usuall. )
Wahooh I think I got the link thing sorted!

My own crafty badger!

Here's my wee badger purse!! I made it from the pattern on Mollychicken http://mollychicken.blogs.com/ ( i must read how to create the link properly, hey ho maybe later!! ) I'm happy with him! Even though the canvas fabric was like sewing leather, ( not that I ever have sewn leather, I'm just guessing!) it was just really tough, so much so I actually found myself saying to Steve that I needed a thimble!! eeck made me feel abit on the old side.

Ah and Me and Alex of papermitten fame http://papermitten.blogspot.com/ did our craft fair at the weelend and it was soopa cool fun! I took some piccies and will try and sort them out to put on here later. It was such a cool town in Derbyshire called Wirksworth, anyhows I have to dash, more later!! Yippee!!

I should be busy....... But look at these!!!!

I really should be busy a crafting, as the fair is this weekend!!! I'm getting there I supose, kinda in the 'ah well can't do too much now' mode. ( well I am at the moment give it 20 mins and I shall be headless chicken again!! ) Anyhows, My mum and dad seem to be clearing out their loft and in the process filling up ours! The other day mum came down the stairs with a few plastic bags of lofty goodness and in one of them were all my old birthday cards! All form when I was 3 onwards!! ( my 1 and 2 lot are in scrapbooks! ) I have just had a quick look through them and they are reall really fab!! Here are a feew of my faves from my third B'day and if my maths serves me right ( it normally serves me wrong ) that was 1976, blimmy thats a while ago now. Hey ho, enjoy and I best hot foot away to see whats up with my printer, ggggrrrrrrr. Calm calm!!
Thanks for all the messages of good wishes for the craft fair, very kind of ya'll! Will let you know what happens..........

Inspired but with no batteries!!

Well I must admit to a bit of a crafting lull at the mo, I reckon it's coz I have the deadline of the craft fair and coz I'm abit panicy I end up doing nothing , I always seem to do that and will have a bonkers rush the night before, hey ho thats just me! I did however make a zippy up purse, I think i mentioned it before and have since found the camera but the batteries are deed! Ahh I could scan it! Thats what I'll do, yay!!

And here it is!! Yay for scanners! I like it, the zips abit on the iffy side but the lining is gorgeous, you'll have to take my word for it I'm afraid that'd be a tricky scan.

After reading what Shell http://sacredheartarts.blogspot.com/ had written on her blog under go your own way I feel ready to go again!! ( not sure how to do the link one the name thing yet, always learning!! )Yippee!! Thanks for words of inspiration!

I recently found this book at a car boot sale, I really love the use of just two colours with the black line really nice indeed. Maybe I could try something similar when I eventually get round to trying out my gocco printer which arrived the other day, very excited indeed!
