Too many dvd's!

Well after a weekend of good intentions of crafting like a crazy loon ( to get some stuff done for the craft fair which is in 2 and a half weeks! ahhh!! ) Instead we ended up watching way too many films in the evenings. I can only really get my craft done in the evenings unless we are at home when stan wants a sleep mind you then I normally race round the house in a whirlwind of bonkersness trying to sort things out. Also we have a months free rentals from blockbuster also it's all done online and the films just drop through the door and you have to post them back, brilliant!!
We watched Whalerider, aaahhh gorgeous, Finding neverland, they were my faves, Life Aquatic's pretty cool too! Mind you I did manage to make a zippy purse type thing, worked okay I think the zip could be in a bit neater but not bad for a first attempt, piccies to follow as the camera has gone walkabout!

Introducing..............

Here are our pet guinea pigs! Benny and Edd!! They were enjoying the grass yesterday and wanted me to take their picture, so always with the camera to hand ( she says but always forgets to take it to the allotment!! ) I snapped away and here they are! Benny is the white one and Edd has a black head! We have had them about 5 years now and they are really lovely fun!
Anyhows I must keep it short as I have about 45 mins and I'm going to sew like mad!!
Oh I ordered a Gocco printing machine doo dah yesterday, I'm so excited! I have a few plans for it already, brilliant!!!

Allotment fun!

We popped up to the allotment yesterday, Stan had a kip (lovely! ) so I managed to have a bit of a harvest, and a harvest I did!! So much veg it's amazing! The cucumbers are doing really well and are all sorts of strange and wonderful bendy things ( no straight controlled ones here! ). Who'd have thought you can grow cucumbers outside in the UK? Courgettes are doing really well too, it allways amazes me how quickly they grow and turn into more marrow sized courgettes, they are still yummmy stuffed with lentils etc! We have some yellow ones and also some that are like balls ( I have written down what sort they are somewhere?!?) What else?? Ah potatoes, yummy pink fur apple, they are all knobbly and odd shapes but sooo delicious! Plenty carrots and beetroot, tomatoes are starting to ripen and they were delicious too! I could go on but I won't, I get so excited when it's time to pick stuff, it's so brilliant with the added bonus of being able to eat it too! Yummo!! The annoying bit is sorting it all out when you get hom, so back to sorting out my french beans I go......

2 More bags.

Well I managed to finish these two wee bags last night. They are much on the same theme as my other ones, but I do like making them, I really enjoy the embroidery bit ( if you can call it that, sounds abit grand for what I do ). I have one more on the go, nearly there just got to turn the straps the right way round, (thats the bit I'm not most keen on) then sew it up, lovely. I bought two zips at the weekend and I hope to make zip up pouches, on the same lines. I haven't sewn on a zip since school so it could be interesting?!?!? Wish me luck!!!1

No craft but all's well!

Well everyone is better in the crafty badger household and hurray to that!! Summer colds, whats all that about?!? Just not nice at all, feel like you want to snuggle up and get cozy then remember that it's too hot! Hey ho I won't go on about it as it's all over now ( till the next time I suppose ) sorry that's not very positive is it!
With only four weeks left until the craft festival I'm not panicking too much yet, when I say too much lets just say it's on my mind, as 3 bags and ..... Well okay only 3 bags just aren't going to take up much space, don't panic!!! just calm down and go craft.
Trouble is when I get on the computer I end up spending ages looking at other peoples blog's, there's so many really creative and talented people out there, I find it all so inspiring! Right off I go and tomorrow there shall be bags!!

cross stitch anyone?

My sister bought me this book at the weekend from a carboot sale! I haven't ever done any cross stitch before but some of the designs in this book are really cool! The colours are so bright and they are lovely bold patterns, I might just give it a go, as soon as I feel better. The house seems to have been struck done by a nasty sore throat lergy, not nice, so instead of crafting I'm spending about 2 hours trying to eat my dinner ( sorry was that too much info ! )

And seeing as I now know how to do words then pictures it'd be rude not to do it here!!

Also I keep reading on other peoples blogs about gocco, it sounds just fantastic, I am very intruiged but I can't find any available on the web in the UK, I have found a US company that would ship it over, shall I go for it?? Oh I think I just might.... I love screen printing but haven't done any since school, it looks like it's the perfect thing for making cards ( something that I love to do ) We shall see.....

Bag fest!!

I managed to finish two more bags over the weekend, I have been working on them in the week, well the odd hour in the evenings really, but I got there! I'm quite pleased with them, I think the design might be abit big for the bag, they are quite small bags really.

Both lined with lovely lovely gingham! I love it, I always have, gingham is great!!

And whahooo I managed to get words then picture then words!! Horrah! It's all coming together nicely! The phots are abit on the dark side ( not the jedi one ) but modeled beautifully by Steve. So thats 3 done in total and I'm aiming for 15 to 20 to be done in 5 weeks, I'm not sure if it's possible I'm not the fastest but I'll give it ago. I am making them to see at a craft fair, I haven't done one beforeand have no idea how much to sell them for, any ideas?? I hope to make some zippy type purses too, if only there were more hours I could get from somewhere!

As Predicted..........

Well as predicted I didn't manage to play with any of my doodles on the computer last night, hey ho! I got on with my bags, still no where near finished but it's fun non the less!

I am trying to make 2 simultaniously ( sorry if thats spelt wrongly ) So when they are done there will be double the celebration I get so excited when I finish something. Anyhows, here's a patchwork quilt I found in the bonkers junk shop at the end of the road. I saw it on the saturday and didn'y buy it but kept thinking about it all weekend and on monday just had to go and buy it, it cost all of one pound!!! bargain. I think I'm going to use it as lining for my bags, is that bad though? Someone spent ages making it and I go and cut it all up! Some of the patcehs are all worn through and areas are abit on the ole tired side, atleast it shall be used I spose!Alex gave me a really cool book all about stuffed toys! Here are some of my faves, I love the duck, and the dog with the poorly paw, bless him!

I haven't figured out how to get text then photo then text yet on here so it's all abit out of order, sozza! Also I have added some links to my favourite blogs, I hope thats okay!

Dande Lion

We have a scanner!!! Yippeee! We bought one at the weekend and now I can scan in and play with all my little doodles, like this one. I hope to make some cards with them on, just black line on coloured card, I'm into just line at the mo! I have some doodles of other wildflowers, buttercup and herb robert etc, hopefully get them inked up tonight, (hopefully being the word!) I started some more bags last night and am abit all over the place wanting to start new things without finishing what I had already started, hey ho, no rush, apart from the craft festival in 5 weeks but we try not to worry about that?!?!?!?!
