Doggie doodle

Have I mentioned that I want a dog? I do, I really want one ( that sounds wierd like a dog is a toy! ) I mean I would love to look after one and have him/her as my mate, maybe one day....
This is a doodle I did ages ago, many of my drawings have dogs in them, dogs or plants, both things I think are brill!

Thanks to all leaving comments about my blog, whether to keep going or not, I am going to keep it up, just not so regularly, I worry when I haven't written on it every day but I just haven't got the time. So I shall still post and make my things I make, it is fab this blog malarky!!

A broochy type thing

Here's a little broochy type thing I made the other day! I am quite pleased with it, though on finishing it I thought it looks like a bird with no head, so maybe I'll add a head to the poor thing another day! Then again maybe I'll keep it as is?!?!?
After a top tip from someone, I asked in a charity shop if they had any buttons and a big button tin was produced, I had a good ole rummidge and found the ones i used for the brooch and a few other too!!

yummy crafting

Some tastey treats ( is that how you spell tastey?!? look wierd! ) Anyhows some food stuff I made, mmm last year now! Apple jelly and rosemary vinegar, both delicious, not really sure how often I shall be using the vinegar but ya never know! Apples from my ma and pas garden and rosemary from mine. With the allotment, I have often got plenty surplus veg etc and last year made a few chutneys etc, this year I hope to do more. Also I hope to use more herbs from the garden, I do use them fresh but I want to get into the whole drying thing. Anyhows just some of my thought for this year, not amazingly exiting granted, I wonder if I'll actually do it???? we shall see!

Also wanted to say thanks for all the comments about my crimbo pressies! really lovely to read peoples kind and encouraging comments, thanks x

A Happy happy New year!!

Hello hello!! wow it's 2006 already!! What a fab time we have all had. I managed to get most of the pressies made I had hoped, here are some piccies of a few bits ( not suprisingly I forgot to take photos of everthing, hey ho!! )
Here's a monster man, made them for my brothers, only took a photo of this one, really enjoyed making him and will make more I reckon!

Here's my first stumblings into the world of applique, I enjoyed it really, took a whle to do, I made my mum, granny and sister a towel and tea towle like this.Ah then for my bro's ( 16 and 13 ) I made some bracelets, one each of beads ( no piccie, but I liked it! ) and one each like this, made out of washers andwing nuts etc, they are both into metal ( the music ) and I thought they'd like them, both sorts went down a treat!

And for Dad and sisters hubbo I made a couple of sauces BBQ and tomato, both yummy!

We all had decided to make things for each other, it was a really cool idea and we got some great things! Stan got a great cardy from my mum, it's gorgeous! A cute hand puppet, a piccie, some LED lights, a cool hoody etc etc! It was a great idea one that we shall do every year, maybe this year I shall make things in advance?!??!?! Hope you all had a fun season, here's to a crafty blog filled 2006!
