Allotment fun!

We popped up to the allotment yesterday, Stan had a kip (lovely! ) so I managed to have a bit of a harvest, and a harvest I did!! So much veg it's amazing! The cucumbers are doing really well and are all sorts of strange and wonderful bendy things ( no straight controlled ones here! ). Who'd have thought you can grow cucumbers outside in the UK? Courgettes are doing really well too, it allways amazes me how quickly they grow and turn into more marrow sized courgettes, they are still yummmy stuffed with lentils etc! We have some yellow ones and also some that are like balls ( I have written down what sort they are somewhere?!?) What else?? Ah potatoes, yummy pink fur apple, they are all knobbly and odd shapes but sooo delicious! Plenty carrots and beetroot, tomatoes are starting to ripen and they were delicious too! I could go on but I won't, I get so excited when it's time to pick stuff, it's so brilliant with the added bonus of being able to eat it too! Yummo!! The annoying bit is sorting it all out when you get hom, so back to sorting out my french beans I go......

Wow, it sounds absolutely wonderful. It's always best to pick natures bounty straight from the vine, or out of the ground - gives you that wholesome healthy feeling. Yum yum - enjoy your bounty!
