Crazy squid!
This piccie was in the paper magazine suppliment the other weekend, I had to keep it and have shown everyone who has come into the house ( yep everyone!! ) It's bonkers and it's real !!! Looks like something from a dodgy 50's B movie!
It's from a book called 'Extreme nature' by Mark Carwardine. In the mag it says that it has the biggest eye and 'it can light up it's surroundings by literally glowing' !!!! Ahhhhh! How bonkers is that. This one was caught in the Ross Sea, Antarctica at 150kgs and 5.4m and this one is a baby apparently they grow to 15m!!!! That eye is the scariest thing, imagine seeing that whilst going for a paddle!! Thankfully I don't think any have been sighted off the east anglian coast, phew.
Might be some inspiratin for this month's month of Softies!!!
